I came across a tutorial for this apron. I was called something like "Apron in an hour". That's the kind of projects I like so thought I would try it.

It used one fat quarter for the main part of the apron and 1/2 yard of contrasting fabric for the bottom border and ties/waistband. When I spotted this fabric I had to give it a try.

I really like it, but it is very "boxy" looking so I think next time I will try adding a couple of pleats or softly gather top before adding the waistband to give it a bit more shape.
