Finally finished putting together this quilt top. I do like the way it came out. This material was from the quilts for kids group and I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it when I took it. Now to layer and quilt it.

I will have to piece the back because there is not enough of the red to do the entire back. I'll have to see what I can find to match this.

My fluffy, sweet, white cat loves to snuggle into a pillow that I made from fleece. I use it on the chair at my computer desk and if I get up she hops up there. Sometimes she stays there all day! She is such a riot.

Here is the mystery quilt we worked on at the workshop at my guild meeting this week. I really like it. It is fairly easy but you do have to pay attention to your colors. LOL I had to unsew a couple of things because I had the colors turned the wrong way. Points don't match perfect, but I will get better and as they told us at the meeting, "don't worry about being perfect. The little one who gets the quilt will be happy with it and they won't worry about the points not matching." Most of them are real close but a couple just got away from me. Now just need to layer it and quilt.

Working on quilting this one. Used redwork designs to quilt in the solid blocks and stitched diagonally thru the blue blocks. Need to stitch diagonally the other way now and will stitch in the ditch around the borders; then the binding. I like the way it looks, but realized when almost done, I could have reversed some of the zebras and giraffes like I did with the tigers. Oh well, next time I be more aware of it.

I am working on the second quilt for quilt for kids now. Still have to quilt and bind the first one, but got on a roll working on this one. There will be one more row of three squares, then an outside border. It will be about 42" x 42" or maybe slightly larger by the time it is done. I will do the red strip top and bottom of each row. Red will be the final border around. I hope I have enough of this red for the back otherwise I'll need to decide on another fabric.

The lady in the white shirt is the leader of this group of ladies. She has a bid shed in her yard where she keeps all the fabrics and supplies for the group. Every week she loads up her car and brings buckets of fabric for us to chose from and a roll of batting. They have ironing boards and irons, mats, cutters, rulers. Everything you can think of so all you need to bring is your sewing machine if you are going to sew and thread.

It is a friendly bunch that welcome you in, help you if you need it and give you great ideas. Some of the quilts I have seen have been amazing.

This is my quilt top, layered and about to be pinned. I'm not wild about the green squares but they came in a package with the blue ones. This should comfort some little boy.

This is DD Betty. We went to the quiltforkids meeting last night. Here she has layered and pinned a small quilt top. This is made from flannel.

She also layered and pinned her pinwheel.

This is one of the few groups that supplies batting for their quilters.

Well, here are some more snow pictures. My poor little car is almost hidden by the snow piles. I will get some shots from outside maybe later today.
